Leroy Irwin (Baritone Saxophone) An Alumni of commercial music performance at Sonoma State University and Berklee College of music. LeRoy spent the majority of his musical life in Fresno California but now resides and works on California’s Central Coast. LeRoy is a technical supervisor for Comcast Cable. He currently plays in the San Luis Obispo Wind Orchestra, San Luis County Band, Cuesta Wind Ensemble, Hancock College Band, Big Band Now Swing Band and SAX ON THE BEACH Saxophone Quartet. He has played with the Fresno Community Band, Reedley College Band, Reedley College Jazz Ensemble, Reedley College Jazz Combo, Kingsburg Summer Band, Kings Symphony, Tulare Symphony, Mo Money Dixieland Band, Santa Rosa College Night Band, Santa Rosa College Night “A” Jazz Band, Psycho Swine Rock Band and the back up band for Andy Narell. Leroy has won outstanding musicianship awards from the Clovis Jazz Festival and Reno Jazz Festival. LeRoy receives his musical inspirations from Gerry Mulligan, John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Yo-Yo Ma, Dvorak, Sibelius.. |
